OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2015.   Ford Argentina organized the National Technical Skills Competition, a contest involving the best four technicians of Ford Argentina Dealer’s Network, who demonstrated an outstanding performance in the specialty “Electronic and Electrical Systems Diagnosis” of the Masters Program in 2014.

During the competition, the participants had to prove their ability to detect and fix five intentionally generated faults in the new Focus 2.0 SE Plus MT 5P. They had to apply the techniques learned during the training process and use the diagnostic equipment similar to the ones available at every dealer?s branch.

Pablo Luengo of Pettiti Automotores S.A. dealer, became the winner of the competition for successfully diagnosing and repairing the five faults in only 16 minutes and 28 seconds. He shared the podium with Fabi?n Gil of Motor Sport S.A. dealer. Marcos Escobar of Dietrich S.A. dealer and Miguel Cruz of Autos del Sur S.A. dealer, also participated in the contest and resulted in third and fourth place respectively.

Ford Argentina, with YPF’s support, recognized the outstanding work of the first two positions with a trip to Spain to visit Ford Valencia?s Plant and share the best practices in global vehicles. The award was given by Enrique Alemany, President of Ford Argentina and Chile and Hern?n Galdeano, FCSD Director.

This year, and thanks to the One Ford strategy, the two best technicians of Ford Chile’s dealer network joined the contest. They competed with each other to demonstrate their technical skills in the new 3.2l Ranger XLT 4x4 MT. This was possible thanks to the new global platforms of the brand that enable the same tools and diagnostic equipment in Argentina and Chile.

Dimitri Figueroa was enshrined in the first position and the second place was occupied by Patricio Herrera.

New technologies added to the steady increase of customer expectations, makes essential to develop highly trained technicians. In Argentina, Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) develops a complete training program designed for different areas: Besides the Masters Program, devoted to technical staff, FCSD provides the Non-Technical Training Program (PENT) and the Aftersales Professional Management Program. These three programs complete a range of training tools for all areas of the dealer Network.

Ford Argentina continually trains its technicians to successfully diagnose and repair vehicles on the first attempt with the objective of ensuring the highest levels of Customer Satisfaction.
