Number of Sberbank Online Mobile Application Users Exceeds 10 million
OREANDA-NEWS. The number of active users of the Sberbank Online mobile applications has increased three times in the past year and now exceeds 10 million.
In 2015, Sberbank made several updates to its Sberbank Online applications for all mobile platforms. New functions for transferring money, making payments, managing finances, and so on, were made available to users. Progress was made in security too: Sberbank was the first in the world to integrate an anti-virus programme into a financial application for Android in order to provide additional user protection. In addition, a personalised greeting, ability to log in using fingerprints (for iPhone), ability to add an avatar and assign photos to savings targets, etc. were all added. These improvements made the bank's mobile products more useful, convenient and simply more pleasing to use.
The 10 million user mark was reached thanks to effective promotion of the company's mobile banking solution. An important role was played by digital advertising and the use of modern formats and instruments, as well as consultants at Sberbank branches, who helped clients to install the application on their phones and explained the main functions.
"The growing number of active Sberbank Online users inspires us. Clients' interest in our services shows that we are making necessary and convenient products that are great to use. Next year we will continue to make improvements and are already preparing innovations that I am sure our clients will love," commented Svyatoslav Ostrovsky, Head of Sberbank's Bank XXI Department.
