OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2015. Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) signed an agreement to provide funds for environmental research projects through its funding program, called the Doosan Yonkang Environment Research Fund, at the Grand Ambassador Hotel in downtown Seoul. The foundation granted funds totaling 180 million won (about \\$155,000) to 15 researchers, including Professor Gee-Bong Han of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Catholic University of Korea.

Since 1993, the Doosan Yonkang Foundation has offered research grants to research professors in the field of environmental, health and safety (EHS). Through the funding program, it has delivered 2.2 billion won in support to 209 research projects over more than 20 years. The foundation also publishes the Yonkang Journal of Environmental Academic Research Papers, which is distributed to university libraries and major institutions nationwide every year.

“I hope that the research work funded by Doosan Yonkang Environment Research Fund would help facilitate the academic and technological advancement in the EHS field,” said Chairman Park.
