OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2015. Refurbishment of Father Felix Enrique school in Villa Quillinzo, Cordoba Province, was celebrated. This school was built and donated by Ford and its dealers in 1970. Remodeling by the Pettiti patronage began in 2002 as part of the Education for a New Tomorrow CSR program.

The renovation and refurbishment was designed to improve the safety of the facility and the comfort of its occupants. The reopening means there are now 23 schools Ford and its dealers have remodeled throughout Argentina.

Built to the highest standards of construction ensures students have the environment they need to practice their education, and allows for the school to fulfill its role to the community. Recycled and recyclable materials were incorporated, and supply systems using renewable energies were installed.

In 1968, Ford Argentina started its Education for a New Tomorrow CSR program, in which modern and functional schools in rural and border areas were built with the support of local dealers. To date, 41 schools have been built in Argentine territory. The program aims to provide drinkable water, electricity and low-maintenance design.

The reopening of the school is further evidence that Ford considers education a true factor in the improvement of society, in both the medium and long term, and reaffirms the company’s commitment to Argentina.
