Power engineers of IDGC of Centre completed the connection of 67 educational institutions in Crimea
Power engineers of IDGC of Centre were installing diesel generators in educational institutions in Sevastopol from 4 December. "We had 10 crews of experts to work - all of them were highly professional, excellent in work and had good understanding of the difficult situation that arose in the federal city of Sevastopol," stressed the director of department of municipal services of Sevastopol Oleg Kazurin. "The work continues around the clock. Through this approach the power engineers of IDGC of Centre were able without delay, as quickly as possible, to connect all schools to the backup power supply that allowed the schools to resume conducting classes," he added.
Specialists of IDGC of Centre connected 67 educational institutions of the city of Sevastopol to backup power sources, identified by the crisis management centre. Installation and maintenance of self-contained power supply (diesel generators) is being performed by power engineers of ten crews from 4 branches of the company - Belgorodenergo, Voronezhenergo, Kurskenergo and Lipetskenergo.
In addition to the educational institutions the power engineers of IDGC of Centre on the site repaired 10 generators of 1,000 kW, thanks to which the uptown was powered, and also provided energy supply to kindergarten №25.
"We are very grateful to our colleagues for the support they have given and continue to provide in the emergency. Having united and coordinated our efforts, we adequately coped with the task, and overcome the difficulties that arose as a result of disconnection of the entire Crimean peninsula and the city of Sevastopol, in particular, from the power supply from Ukraine," commented the director of department of municipal services of Sevastopol Oleg Kazurin. "We all know that friends are tested in difficult situations. We have become real friends with the specialists of IDGC of Centre in this period. And I'm sure our friendship will only get stronger further on! I want to assure you that people of Sevastopol are always ready to help their friends as soon as it is needed," stressed Oleg Kazurin.
The emergency operation mode in Crimea linked to a power failure has been in place since 22 November 2015. The very next day after the introduction of the emergency operation mode in Crimea power engineers were sent from across the country to assist crews of Krymenergo.
