OREANDA-NEWS. Boryspil Airport put into the cargo handling operation a new 14 tonne, 20 foot container loader, which is currently the only in Ukraine.

The use of innovative equipment allows Boryspil Airport to handle all aircraft types, the cargo size and weight can reach 14 tonnes and 6 meters length.

Equipment, unique for Ukraine, is important both for Boryspil Airport and the airlines operating cargo flights to Boryspil. Specifications of the equipment expand the range of cargo, increase the speed of flight handling and enhance the airport attractiveness for airlines.

To recap, the airport has considerably enhanced its attractiveness both for airlines and passengers within 11 months of 2015. The quantity of handled passengers has increased by 6% up to the level of 6 million 757 thousand passengers. The amount of revenue, actually realized by the state enterprise has increased more than twice up to the level of UAH 2.6 million. Sustainable growth and profitability of the Airport in 2015 made possible to increase the amount of payments to the state budget and state designated funds five times up to the level of UAH 231 million. The total amount of payments to the budgets of all levels for 11 months has exceeded UAH 405 million.
