OREANDA-NEWS.  The International Labour Organization (ILO) will launch a new report entitled: “ILO Global Estimates of Migrant Workers and Migrant Domestic Workers” on 16 December.

The statistical study provides estimates of the proportion of labour migrant workers among the total number of migrants worldwide. It outlines the regions and industries where international migrant workers are established.

The research also includes a specific focus on migrants in domestic work with updated numbers.

The joint publication from the ILO Department of Statistics and the ILO Labour Migration Branch is issued just before International Migrants Day (marked on 18 December).

The report and all associated material and information are under strict embargo until 21:00 GMT on Wednesday, 16 December.
