OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2015. Ford Sales Service Korea recently launched the new Ford Focus Diesel, a vehicle renowned for its best-in-class fuel economy and driving performance. 
 
Retaining Excellent Fuel Efficiency, Performance, and Eco-Friendliness
 
The compact Focus comes with a 1.5-liter Duratorq TDCi engine and best-in-class fuel efficiency of 18.1 km per liter. The Euro 6-compliant Duratorq diesel TDCi engine and exhaust gas cleaning system filters out oxide and microscopic particles formed during combustion, and work to ensure optimal performance.
 
In addition, the engine delivers a maximum of 120 horsepower and 27.53 kg/m torque, bringing sufficient power and accelerating force even at low speeds. The newly available six-speed automatic PowerfShift transmission provides a smooth and quiet ride and allows for a personalized driving experience. 
 
Global Interior and Exterior Design Motif, Enhanced Convenience and Safety Options
 
‘Kinetic’ design, started by Ford of Europe, is Ford’s global design language. The Focus Diesel features this ‘kinetic’ design, with its sophisticated interior and bold exterior. The front radiator grille and wheel design have been upgraded, and new adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps adjust according to driving situations. Even when parked, the Focus appears in motion with its LED tail lamps and sleek and sophisticated design.
 
The Focus comes with USB ports, 12-volt spare socket, adjustable cup holders, and wider center console with improved storage capacity. The new design includes heated steering wheel and ambient lighting feature with seven colors.
 
A package of sensors brings a new level of convenience and safety options. The auto park assist utilizes ultrasonic sensors to help the driver park in all kinds of parking situations, including parallel and perpendicular parking. Meanwhile pullout assist lets the driver easily drive out from narrow parking spaces. Also, adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support system, along with heads-up display and alarm, maintain safe distance from other vehicles and prevent collision. In addition, lane-keeping system, hill start assist, and MyKey were newly equipped.
 
Convenience options, such as MyFord SYNC 2, which offers an advanced interface and voice activation system through a large 8-inch screen, provide drivers with more entertainment. Moreover, Active City Stop improves vehicle safety while driving in congested areas by detecting obstacles and automatically activating brakes to help prevent an accident.

The new Focus is offered in two trims: Titanium and Titanium Plus, as a five-door hatchback or a four-door sedan. The vehicle is priced starting at KRW 33 million (including VAT and reduction in individual consumption tax) for the Titanium model and KRW 34.6 million (including VAT and reduction in individual consumption tax) for the Titanium Plus model.
