Passenger Numbers Inch Closer to Breaking Airport Record
OREANDA-NEWS. CLT passenger traffic rose 1 percent to 37,570,995 travelers flying through the terminal January - October 2015 compared to the same time period in 2014. The increase moves Charlotte Douglas closer to breaking its 44.3 million passenger record that was set last year.
Operations remained steady overseeing 454,479 landings and departures January - October 2015.
Cargo activity jumped 1 percent to 112,300 tons of cargo transported through CLT during the first ten months of the year.
International passenger traffic, however, dipped to 2,479,633 fliers (January - October 2015) due to the previously announced realignment of international routes by American Airlines.
