OREANDA-NEWS. Automotive market in Russia, which in November fell by more than 40%, at the end of last month remained in the fifth place among the European leaders.

According to data, received by the agency "AUTOSTAT" in the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Europe, the leader by vehicle sales in November is still Germany, where it was sold 272,377 vehicles (+ 8.9%). The second place is occupied by the United Kingdom with 178 876 sold cars (+ 3.8%). According to the British Society of Motor Manufacturers and dealers (SMMT), after the October fall, which was recorded for the first time after more than 3.5 years of continuous growth in sales, the country's car market once again came out "in plus" in the last month, which indicates the stabilization of demand at a high level. Third place is kept by France, whose dealers have sold 150 339 cars (+ 11.3%). The fourth result was shown by Italy - 134,021 sold cars (+ 23.5%). According to the Italian Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ANFIA), the country's auto market continues to show a positive trend during already 1.5 years. If, however, during the considering of the car market in Europe we take into account Russia, then our country is still ranked in the fifth place of the European ranking. According to preliminary estimates of the agency "AUTOSTAT", sales of passenger cars in the last month were approximately 122 500 units (excluding LCV). We also add that due to the action of enabling the program to subsidize the purchase of new fuel-efficient cars, the Spanish car market has shown the greatest growth among the European leaders - by 25.4% to 81,650 vehicles.
