Propane sales fall on warmer weather: Ferrellgas

OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2015. Ferrellgas Partners sold 161.5mn gallons of propane in the third quarter of 2015, down from 186mn gallons last year, due to milder weather throughout the US.

The El Nino weather pattern caused a "soft start to the heating season," said chief executive Stephen Wambold. Ferrellgas, a retailer of propane throughout the midcontinent, saw third quarter temperatures 13pc warmer than in 2014.

Ferrellgas reported total revenues of \\$471.1mn in the third quarter of 2015, a \\$27.7mn increase from \\$443.4mn for the same quarter of 2014.
