OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC TATNEFT was for the twelfth time recognized the absolute winner of the "ECOleader" Republican contest. The TANECO Complex was awarded the first place in the nomination "Oil producing and petrochemical industry".

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the republican "ECOleader" and "Man and Nature" contests was held in Kazan with participation of Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rimma Ratnikova, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.

The event was attended by the heads of the Republic’s largest companies, heads of municipal districts, as well as the representatives of the mass media.

The "ECOleader" and "Man and Nature" Contests are held annually by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in order to preserve the environment, draw the public attention to the problems of ecological safety, promote environmental activities of enterprises, as well as intensify the republican mass media efforts and enhance the professional skills of the journalists, specializing in environmental issues.

About 450 companies and organizations of the Republic, which had been applying the best environmental technologies during the year, participated in this   "ECOleader" contest.

The award of PJSC TATNEFT has once again confirmed the high efficiency of the environmental protection measures implemented by the Company in the region of its operations. The activities of the Joint Stock Company to ensure environmental safety are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the federal laws for the environment protection and comply with all the applicable environmental standards and regulations.

In 2015, TATNEFT Company successfully passed the recertification audit of the TATNEFT’s integrated management system of industrial safety, occupational health and   environment for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007.

The expected total investments of TATNEFT in the activities of environmental safety from all the sources of funding (operational costs, investments) in 2015 will amount to about 6 billion Rubles.

The TANECO Complex of refining and petrochemical plants was named the best in one of the major nominations: "Oil producing and petrochemical industry”. The ecology is one of the most important priorities of the Complex project. The TANECO’s production processes comply with the highest environmental standards.

The same day witnessed the winners’ awarding of the   Republican mass media contest "Man and Nature”. Among the winners there were the corporate media journalists of the Company, who actively promote the solution of environmental issues through the media, thereby contributing to environmental awareness training and education of the population of our republic. The TV studio of PJSC TATNEFT was awarded the first place in the category "Best TV story" and Elvira Gataullina, journalist of the "Oil News" newspaper, received the diploma "For devotion to the subject".
