OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2015. Moscow hosted today another meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) between Gazprom and CNPC. The meeting was chaired by the Committee Co-Chairmen – Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Wang Dongjin, Vice President of CNPC.

The meeting participants reviewed the progress and future lines of the cooperation between the companies. In particular, they pointed out the importance of developing interaction in the areas of gas-fired power generation, NGV fuel, standardization, equipment manufacture and supplies, provision of services, inter alia, engineering ones while implementing joint projects.

The meeting addressed the prospects for cooperation in the UGS sector in China with a view to increasing the reliability of Russian gas supplies.

CNPC is China's state-owned petroleum company and is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies.

In May 2015 Gazprom and CNPC extended the Agreement of Strategic Cooperation for another five years. The Joint Coordinating Committee was set up to supervise the Agreement implementation.
