OREANDA-NEWS. On December 3rd, 2015 the annual meeting of heads of legal, corporate and property departments of the mining arm of Rosatom took place. 

The meeting was attended by the lawyers of ARMZ JSC, Rusburmash JSC , Dalur JSC, VNIPIpromtekhnologii JSC, Khiagda JSC, PIMCU PJSC, ARMZ Service LLC, Elkon MMP JSC,  First Ore-Mining Company JSC,  United Uranium Plants LLC, Lunnoye JSC, Gornoe JSC.

As a part of the discussions, participants exchanged their experience, summed up the results of their work and set the goals and objectives for 2016.

Ilya Yaroshevich, Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs, Atomredmetzoloto, highlighted in his speech the key requirements to a lawyer of the mining branch of Rosatom at this stage - the ability to quickly propose solutions, knowledge of arbitration and judicial practice, hands-on experience in deal structuring and evaluation of risk probability, as well as personal skills - the ability to convey the idea to internal customer, and flexibility. The lawyer should seek to understand the business of his employer. "A good lawyer is the one who has proven his effectiveness. It is crucial for each of us to constantly strive to increase our contribution to the business of the enterprise. And for this it’s not enough to be just a good lawyer, you need to be a lawyer-manager, who is able to make strategic decisions for the benefit of company", - stated Ilya Yaroshevich.
