Recall, "GAZ Group" and Turkish company Mersa Otomotiv in 2012 launched the assembly production and announced the start of sales of light commercial vehicles of GAZ in Turkey. In the first phase of the project the partners produced vehicles "Gazel-Business", and in 2014 in Turkey it was opened the production of models "Gazel Next». It is the first serial production of Russian light commercial vehicles of environmental standards "Euro 5" abroad. Main units and components of the car are supplied from Russia; some of the components (transmission shafts, wheels, batteries, and brake components) are purchased from Turkish producers.
