The awards ceremony is one of the biggest corporate charity events in Russia. Severstal was also awarded Corporate Charity Leader in 2013, and participated as the charity’s ambassador for Russia in 2014.

The All-Russia Corporate Charity Leaders initiative is aimed at identifying the best examples of corporate charity programmes and promoting best practice corporate charity in the business sector and society in general.

The All-Russia Corporate Charity Leaders initiative analyses corporate charity activity against a specially developed methodology, which forms a ranking of the companies and their charitable programmes. As part of the methodology, companies may disclose the sum of investment and  more general information including their mission, outreach, methods, expectations and results.

Over 7 years 150 companies have participated in this initiative. Best business practices are discussed at business seminars and shared with relevant government bodies, the general public and the media.
