OREANDA-NEWS. Three oil storage depots of the TATNEFT’s filing station network became the winners of the industry-based contest held within the frame of the "Oil Terminal 2015" International Conference.

The industry-based forum, held in St. Petersburg, provided an opportunity to the event participants to share their experiences of effective operation of the oil storage depots and terminals.

The professionals of the Chelny branch of OOO "Tatneft-AZS Center" presented a report on the subject of increasing the ecological safety during the oil storage depot reconstruction works. All the TATNEFT’s filling stations located in the Republic of Tatarstan are equipped with petroleum vapor systems. The decision to implement this system in the network of the TATNEFT’s filling stations was made following the instruction of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 152-r,dated 06.02.13, "On implementation of measures aimed at improving the environmental safety and resource saving at the facilities of the Tatarstan’s refueling complex."

A closed-loop fuel delivery cycle has been implemented at all the filling stations of PJSC TATNEFT: "Oil storage depot/Refinery – Filling Station - Oil storage depot ". The fuel dumping systems of the filling stations and petrol lorries have been modernized.  Modern VRUs (vapor recovery units) have been also installed at the oil storage depots and the refinery. This scheme allows displacing petroleum vapors generated at the filling station’s tank during the loading process into the tanker and transporting them to the depots and/or the refinery for recycling. This eliminates the possibility of burst release of fuel vapor emissions during discharge of petroleum products at filling stations and provides for environmental friendliness.

A report by the representatives of "Tatneft-AZS-Yug" was devoted to the modern arrangement of a tank farm, which also found a positive response from the representative jury. The company was awarded a special prize for innovations introduction at the Krasnodar oil depot.

The victory in the nomination "The most effective oil depot in Russia and the CIS: throughput and turnover" (OOO "Tatneft-AZS-West) was obtained by the professionals of the Gorokhovetsky oil storage depot. There is a flexible technological chain  implemented at the facility and its professionals can do both  compounding and improving the quality of petroleum products.
