Catalyser produced at Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery makes it into this year’s Russia’s 100 Best Products
Diesel produced at the Omsk Refinery, another gold winner at the Russia’s Best 100 Products awards, has advanced performance characteristics, with sulphur content reduced to 10 milligrams per kilo — the highest possible environmental standard. Overall, six of the Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery’s products received awards at this year’s contest, with the company’s DT-Z-K5 winter diesel, TC-1 jet-engine fuel, B-grade methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), and A-grade catalytic gas oil all taking silver.
Oleg Belyavsky, General Director of the Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery, commented: “The Omsk Refinery’s market leadership, and the production of goods meeting international quality standards, is the result of the ongoing development and thoroughgoing modernisation of the plant.”
The Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, is one of the most advanced refining facilities in Russia, as well as is one of the most significant in terms of total refining volumes. With a total installed capacity of 21.4 million tonnes, the Omsk Refinery is one of the top twenty largest refineries in the world. The Omsk facility produces in the order of 50 types of oil products, including high-octane gasolines, diesel and marine (bunkering) fuels, aviation kerosene, bitumen, household gas, industrial sulphur, cokes, and more.
Uniting 84 of Russia’s regions — and thousands of producers — the Russia’s 100 Best Products contest is directed at improving the quality of domestic goods, and their competitiveness on international markets. The Omsk Refinery has been among the competition’s winners for the past eight years.
