OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2015. Following the 2015 additions of Nebraska (in February) and North Dakota (in June), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that Wisconsin became the seventh state to participate in the Records and Information from DMV’s for E-Verify (RIDE) program.

RIDE is an ongoing E-Verify initiative that connects E-Verify with state departments of motor vehicles (DMVs) and state public safety offices.  RIDE allows E-Verify to validate the authenticity of driver’s licenses and state identification cards presented by employees for Form I-9 purposes.

A major objective for RIDE is to reduce document fraud while boosting the accuracy of E-Verify employment eligibility verification.  Wisconsin joins Mississippi, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, and North Dakota in the RIDE initiative.
