OREANDA-NEWS. Aviva plc (“Aviva”) announces that Chris Esson has been appointed Group Investor Relations Director. Chris is currently Director of Insurance Research for Europe at Credit Suisse Securities, where he is the lead analyst covering UK and Nordic insurers. Chris succeeds Colin Simpson who was recently appointed CFO of Aviva Canada.

Chris is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has held a number of roles in international financial services, including at management consultants KPMG. Chris will join Aviva’s finance executive team, reporting directly to Tom Stoddard, Chief Finance Officer.
