OREANDA-NEWS. In order to restore the power supply of socially important facilities of the peninsula of Crimea IDGC of Centre (part of the group "Rosseti") sent over the weekend to the republic 170 standby power supply sources. A total of 207 backup sources will be sent to the peninsula, the overall total capacity will amount to 9,152 kW. This equipment will be used to provide electricity to children’s educational institutions, the work schedule of which has been altered to conduct classes in the daytime.

34 motor vehicles, as well as 90 operational staff of IDGC of Centre were sent for transportation, installation and maintenance of the equipment.

A crisis management centre was set up in the company to coordinate the work.

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre fully cooperate with colleagues from "Krymenergo" and together do everything possible to restore the power supply of the peninsula as quickly as possible, and to make the work of children’s educational institutions of the Republic go in a usual mode faster.

Please, be reminded that the night of 22 November 2015 in the result of undermining the power lines feeding the Crimea peninsula power supply was disrupted. The Crimean Federal District introduced a state of emergency.

Rosseti will send a total of 580 diesel generators with a total capacity of 34.5 MW.
