Members of KEGOC Board of Directors and Management Board met with the talent pool of the company - TOP-25
Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, Chairman of the Management Board, member of the Board of Directors, in his address to the participants noted that ‘for the main grid company of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is KEGOC, training of talent pool is a prerequisite to the implementation of Long-Term Development Strategy’.
Kuanysh Bektemirov, Chairman of KEGOC Board of Directors, also greeted the participants of the event.
This year the meeting of KEGOC top management with succession candidates was held under KEGOC Business Transformation Programme aimed at improving the company efficiency. Implementation of this program requires major changes in all areas of the company operation and will be carried out within the paradigm ‘People-Technologies-Processes’.
As we know, there will be no progression in technologies and processes, if human resources do not evolve.
The Talent Pool, TOP-25, was formed out of employees selected under the talent management project. This project is being implemented within the goals and objectives set in cooperation with ‘Samruk – Kazyna’ and the Corporate University. During a month, out of 50 employees prequalified for assessment procedures, 25 specialists were selected as showing high results based on the verbal and numerical tests, screening of personality questionnaires and interviews by competences.
Nurzhan Issenov, Director of NPG Development Department, Baurzhan Uteuliyev, Senior Manager of Operations Department, Bekzhan Mukatov, Head Dispatcher of NDC SO branch and Saken Karabalayev, Deputy Director of Economic and General Affairs of Vostochnye MES branch, and others were included in the TOP-25. Aibek Botabekov, Managing Director - Economics, who has recently graduated with distinction from the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business, Executive MBA (EMBA) Program, was also included as a succession candidate.
About the Company
KEGOC is the System Operator of Unified Power System of Kazakhstan, and it owns and manages the assets of the National Power Grid (NPG). The company is the natural monopoly. It owns about 24.9 thousand km of 35-1150 kV electricity transmission lines and 77 electrical substations with 36.2 GVA of installed transformer capacity. These lines and substations form the NPG. The company employs more than 4.8 thousand people.
