OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2015. Gusbourne was honoured to have been presented with the Producer Trophy for "English Wine Producer of the Year" at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) awards dinner yesterday evening at the Guildhall, London.

In May this year the IWSC also awarded Gusbourne's sparkling and still wines with a record two 'gold outstanding', one gold and three silver medals.

Since 1978 the IWSC has been awarding excellence to wines and spirits from around the world and is renowned for being one of the most prestigious international wine competitions. The IWSC judging panel is carefully selected from a wide range of international industry experts and the judging processes include rigorous blind tasting procedures.

The IWSC trophy completes a record year at international competitions for the Company, with Gusbourne having received 7 gold medals in total. In terms of awards alone 2015 has been the most successful year for the Company to date. This news comes shortly after the recent announcement of an excellent grape harvest at the Company's vineyards in Kent and West Sussex.

Ben Walgate, CEO of Gusbourne commented, "Receiving this trophy is a very proud moment for Gusbourne and is yet another highlight in what has been an extraordinary year for the company. It is wonderful news for us and recognition of the high quality of our wines as well as the hard work of the Gusbourne team. "
