"GAZ Group" has started the serial production of vehicles "Ural Next”

OREANDA-NEWS. The car plant "Ural" started the mass production of a new family "Ural Next”. Investments in the creation and organization of production of the new "Ural" were about 800 million rubles.

As the press service of "GAZ Group" informed, the preparation for the production of the vehicle "Ural Next» was conducted during 2015. Prototypes have passed the full cycle of laboratory certification, run and operational tests in a variety of road and weather conditions.

Within the preparation of production of the new truck at the company it was installed equipment, which is providing high-quality manufacturing of basic units and aggregates of the vehicles of brand "Ural". In particular, there are used new machining tools for the manufacture of the upgraded units during the production of "Ural Next», as well as the equipment for a high-quality surface cleaning of castings parts. To improve the corrosion resistance of the paint of vehicles it was created additional capacity for powder coating of parts, it was modernized lines of cataphoresis priming.

Cabin modules for vehicles of a new family are produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant in a single stream with cabins of GAZ. The bulk of the major facial and structural stamped panels of cabin Next (40 items) are produced on automated lines Komatsu, Japan. There are used more than 230 high-precision dies, fixtures and control automation equipment, manufactured in South Korea. Details of the cabin, which are under the maximum aggressive environments, - are galvanized. Details of cabin are made from modern high-impact plastics.

Trucks "Ural Next» with a capacity from 5.5 to 13 tonnes (4x4 and 6x6) expand the existing range of vehicles "Ural". Vehicles of new family are equipped with the engines YaMZ-536 with a capacity from 240 to 312 hp. Vehicles "Ural Next» are intended for the carriage of passengers, cargo and towing a variety of trailers and trailer systems for all types of roads and terrain, including in off-road conditions and severe temperatures. The main consumers –are oil and gas, timber, construction companies, units of MOE.
