Mordovcement Realizes Import Substitution Program
OREANDA-NEWS. Mordovcement, part of the EUROCEMENT group, is actively implementing a program of import substitution. The plant is substituting imported parts of the mobile crusher on the quarry.
Betsema, a Russian company from Krasnogorsk, developed some key elements of the mobile crusher especially for EUROCEMENT group. Parts produced manually and locally on request cost much less compared to the imported parts.
Experts at Mordovcement plan to complete the work on dismantling the old parts and reassembling the crusher feeder by the end of November. As a result, the life of the crusher feeder will increase by up to 4-5 years before more repairs will be necessary, with capacity almost doubling, from 500 tph to 900 tph.
According to Segey Susev, the vice president of economics and production of EUROCEMENT group, Mordovcement also plans to replace the imported cylinder on the vertical raw mill with a locally produced one and substitute the cooling fan on the production of clinker cooler line 3.
"We try to take a comprehensive approach to the issue of import substitution and give unconditional preference to Russian producers", said Segey Susev. "In particular, in recent years we have been actively cooperating with Betsema, which often creates parts for our equipment in manual mode. As a result, we receive custom made items with safety and performance characteristics meeting the highest standards".
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Betsema, Vladimir Trifonov, said that the company has been cooperating with EUROCEMENT group for the past ten years, and plans to increase this interaction.
