OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2015. The Charlotte Touchdown Club in conjunction with the Football Writers Associationof America announced today the 2015 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Finalists.                                                           

The finalists are Duke Defensive Back, Jeremy Cash, Clemson Defensive End, Shaq Lawson, Temple Linebacker, Tyler Matakevich, Penn State Defensive End, Carl Nassib, and Alabama Linebacker, Reggie Ragland.

The Bronko Nagurski Trophy, presented annually to the nation’s top NCAA defensive football player, will be awarded during the annual Bronko Nagurski Awards Banquet presented by ACN scheduled for Monday, December 7th at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte.

The keynote address for the banquet will be given by Auburn University Head Football Coach, Gus Malzahn. Ohio State’s great, Randy Gradishar, will receive this year’s Bronko Nagurski Legends Award presented by Florida East Coast Railway.

The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is a member of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA), which was founded in 1997 as a coalition of the major collegiate football awards to protect, preserve and enhance the integrity, influence and prestige of the game’s predominant awards.
