CA Technologies and PwC Host Second Annual CA World Women in Tech Breakfast
Recent research finds companies in the top quartile for gender diversity are 15 percent more likely to have financial returns above their industry peers. This business case for diversity is clear – beyond financial benefits, creating more diverse teams ensures a better product for end users and more thoughtful solutions for customers. Panelists will discuss the unique perspectives women bring to the technology field and why it is important to have women technologists at the forefront of innovation.
“CA Technologies is committed to promoting gender diversity and the advancement of women in technology,” said Flaherty. “This is an incredibly important factor in driving growth and development in the IT industry and society at large. Through partnerships with organizations like the Anita Borg Institute for Women in Technology, and our Tech Girls Rock initiative with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, CA is addressing the critical need to close the STEM skills gap.”
“PwC understands that gender differences do matter,” said Christine Goldberg, Principal, PwC US, and co-founder of the firm’s ‘Women in Technology’ program. “Our efforts to expand diversity have paid off. On average, half of the firm’s new hires each year are women, and their representation at the partner level continues to steadily increase. I am excited to tell our stories of success so that other companies around the globe can continue to support their talent and build a diverse workforce.”
“We are seeing more and more companies that embrace diversity in their workforce producing better products and stronger results compared to their peers,” said Telle Whitney, President and CEO of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. “I hope that through our discussion at the CA World Women in Tech Breakfast, and through our work with partners like CA Technologies and PwC, organizations will continue to understand the business value of a diverse workforce and women will embrace their power to create technology that impacts all of our lives.”
