OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ has strengthened its position in the declining market for heavy trucks. In October, the production of main products was 3,495 vehicle sets, the rate since the beginning of year reached the level of 21,506 units, informed the press service of KAMAZ.

The Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes (imports + shipping) for 10 months of 2015 decreased by 50% and it was 28.6 million units, according to KAMAZ. At the same time the sales of KAMAZ decreased only by 35% and it was 16.2 thousand units (data shipment). Recall that by the results of September KAMAZ sales drop was 40%. The share of KAMAZ for 10 months of 2015 the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes was 56.5% versus 43.2% for the same period of the last year. Thus, despite the global decline in sales, KAMAZ keeps the leading position in the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", according to the forecast of KAMAZ, the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes in 2015 will reach 39,000 units, the share of KAMAZ in it will be 51%. Recall that at the end of 2014 this figure was 45.9%.
