Valery Veremeyev appointed Deputy CEO of Freight One
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2015. Valery Veremeyev, formerly Adviser to the President of JSC Russian Railways (RZD), was appointed to the post of Deputy CEO of Joint Stock Company Freight One (Freight One).
In his new position Valery Veremeyev will supervise the Company's strategic development, plan medium and long term activities of functional units, branches and subsidiaries of Freight One, as well as control the quality of the work done to implement the strategy and achieve the business objectives in view.
For reference: Valery Veremeev was born in 1976 in the city of Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast. In 1998 he graduated from Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT), Academic Discipline - Economic Informatics and Automated Control Systems. Becoming a postgraduate student, in 2002 he was awarded the academic degree of candidate of economic sciences.
In 2004, Valery Veremeev received an additional degree from the Russian Academy of Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation, Academic Discipline - State and Municipal Management.
In 2002, he started his career in the Ministry of Railways. In 2006 he was appointed head of the Department of Corporate Building and Reforming of JSC Russian Railways. Between 2010 and 2012 he was Head of the Department of Economic Conjuncture and Strategic Development of the Russian Railways holding. Since 2012 and until his appointment as Deputy CEO of Freight One he served as Adviser to the President of JSC Russian Railways.
Valery Veremeev is deeply experienced in preparation and implementation of corporate development strategy, as well as development of measures aimed at improving financial performance of railway companies and their structural reforming.
Valery Veremeev has been repeatedly awarded sectoral honorable decorations, namely gratitude and a custom engraved watch from the President of JSC Russian Railways, and a 170 Years of Railways award pin.
