Ukrainian state foreign broadcasting to be broadcasted via cable networks in Romania
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2015. A meeting of Deputies Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko and Tetiana Popova with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Cornel Ionescu was held.
The parties discussed the possibility of extending of Ukrainian foreign broadcasting in Romania, in particular, agreed to exchange contacts with the purpose to include channel UA | TV into cable networks of the country.
Deputy Minister Artem Bidenko said: "We want foreign broadcasting channel UA | TV to be active in all countries where Ukrainians live and where they go. Together we can achieve that anyone who come to you, in Romania, will be able to watch the news, which reflects the position of the Ukrainian state".
In turn, the Honorable Ambassador noted concern due to the events in the east of the country, and considers it appropriate to promote the interests of the country through the official state foreign broadcasting channel.
During the meeting the video presentation of the TV channel and the Multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine as a whole was demonstrated.
In addition, Deputy Minister Tetiana Popova turned to the Ambassador with a request to assist in providing from the Romanian side to Ukraine transmission equipment to power up the signal of Ukrainian TV channels where the "blind-spots" exist.
