Cubic Breaks New Ground in Commercial Aviation Training with Emirates Airline
Game-based learning will allow Emirates Cabin Crew to acquire and practice safety and service procedures in a realistic, immersive virtual aircraft and cabin environment. Cubic uses learning science-based processes to support development of lessons and scenarios for multiple delivery mechanisms, providing Emirates with the flexibility to meet increases in demand while maintaining quality and effectiveness of training.
“Cubic continues to expand our innovative training technologies into adjacent industries such as commercial aviation. Emirates Cabin Crew will be educated using the latest advances in instructional design, coupled with the engagement of video games allowing an immersive form of on-the-job learning,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense. “We look forward to helping define a new industry standard in aviation training that cost-effectively focuses on safety and service while incorporating emerging virtual technology.”
Immersive training improves retention versus traditional modes such as computer-based learning and Cabin Crew at Emirates will be more engaged with Cubic’s game-based tools. In addition, Cabin Crew trainees will be able to access the training from any location, any time and in any form through web-interfaced and mobile devices.
