AT&T: Hip-Hop Pioneer “Rev Run” Takes the Faith and Mobility Message to the Big Apple Ahead of Social Media Sunday
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2015. Legendary front man for the rap group Run DMC Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons wants to see your inspirational social posts using #InspiredMobility on November 22 for Social Media Sunday. Rev. Run will take that message to the radio airwaves for AT&T Inspired Mobility. It’s a national conversation about how people are connecting with faith and inspiration with mobility. Rev. Run will also greet fans today at the Midtown Manhattan AT&T Store at 250 W. 57th Street, starting at 2pm ET.
Social Media Sunday is a time where people are encouraged to share their inspirational social posts, check-ins, memes, photos and videos using #InspiredMobility wherever they are.
“Sharing inspiration with mobility is so much a part of who I am, “said Rev. Run. “I remember when I first set up my Twitter account, @RevRunWisdom. My sole mission was to inspire by sharing words of wisdom, and I’m happy to spread the word about how others can share and connect around positive thoughts especially during the holiday season.”
In a recent survey1 sponsored by AT&T*, 4-in-10 (41%) respondents said they use a mobile phone, tablet or laptop to connect to faith-based organizations or inspiration sites. The survey also showed that 72% of those who use mobility to connect with their faith report using social media. Facebook and YouTube were the most popular channels. More than 40% of respondents said they use their devices to listen or download inspirational music.
