OREANDA-NEWS. Argun plant "Chechenavto" began the assembly of Lada Granta cars and until the end of the year it plans to produce about 800 cars of this model. As the deputy director of "Chechenavto", Kazbek Tovsultanov, said, Lada Granta replaced on the assembly line of the enterprise the model Lada Priora, the production of which was ceased. Since the beginning of the assembly of Lada Priora in 2012 at "Chechenavto" it was produced about 3 thousand cars of this model.

"With the launch of the assembly of Granta we stop the production of the popular in the Repiblic Lada Priora. Since 2012, the plant produced about 3 thousand cars of this model. I think that Granta will find its buyer in the region. By the end of March of the next year it will be decided the question about the beginning of the assembly in the company of new model of AvtoVAZ - Lada Vesta”, - said Mr.Tovsultanov.

As it was reported previously, the production of Lada Vesta at the plant in Argun could begin the next year on the condition of providing of federal and regional investment support. Meanwhile, the plan of "Chechenavto" for 2016 is to produce up to 6600 Lada Granta cars.
