OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Ford dealers begin sales of the new Ford Explorer, whose production by technology of full cycle has been previously established in the plant of Ford Sollers in Yelabuga.

New Explorer is available for Russian customers at a price of 2.599 million rubles, including all existing marketing programs. The model is offered in four configurations - XLT, Limited, Limited Plus and Sport - and it is equipped with the engine Cyclone 3.5-V6 capacity of 249 hp as well as 345-hp engine 3.5 EcoBoost, mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are certified to operate on the A-92, informed the press service of Ford Sollers.

"The new Explorer - is the fifth new model that Ford Sollers launches this year, and it is the six production start-up, after the new Ford Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo and Transit, as well as the start of engine production in Yelabuga. It allows us to offer our customers a model range of Ford, which is one of the newest in the Russian market, and now we offer excellent products in all market segments", - said President and CEO of Ford Sollers, Mark Ovenden.

According to the First Vice President and COO of Ford Sollers, Adil Shirinov, the new Explorer has been specially adapted to the needs of Russian customers and it got the engine, certified for operation on the A-92, winter package options, improved sound insulation.
