OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2015. The system comprises seven biochemical absorption units for wet purification of the ventilation air in the foundry shop. The new units have a high purification capacity of over 236K cubic meters per hour and trap up to 99.2% of all dust and gas.

The system has been engineered and manufactured by Industrial Environmental Systems R&D at the Ecology Department of the Belarusian National Technical University.

"The new air purification system was launched as part of the Alnas Foundry Renovation Investment Project. The system meets all current cost-saving, workability and, most importantly, environmental friendliness requirements. The foundry complex scheduled to start in 2016 will help the Plant master new productions, boost up ESP fabrication to 7,500 pumps per year, cut down the cost of production by 25% and decrease the environmental load. After the upgrade, Alnas' Foundry Shop will be one of the most modern foundries in Russia", says Sergey Shunin, Alnas Executive Director.

The first phase of the new Laempe foundry complex (Germany) was commissioned at Rimera's Alnas Plant in 2013. An automated ESP rod production line launched at this phase has helped shorten the production cycle five times (to 60-70 seconds). The second phase under way includes commissioning and startup of an automated line for the production of molds for ESP stages.
