OREANDA-NEWS. On the territory of the Russian Federation as of autumn of 2015, there are about 3.8 thousand of official dealerships in the market of automakers. These data are presented in the new study "Dealer network of automakers in Russia", conducted by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in September - October of 2015. Thus, compared to the previous year the total number of dealers declined by almost two hundred that was at first time because before their number grew constantly.

The dealer networks of Chevrolet (-103) and Opel (-36) “suffered” most of all, due to the announced by GM folding of activity of these brands in the Russian Federation. Also it worth noting that there is the marked decrease in the number of dealers LADA (-31), Peugeot (-29), Great Wall (-28), SsangYong (-24), Fiat (-17), Ford (-16) and Suzuki (-12). Among other brands the number of dealers declined by less than 10.

However, there are opposite examples, when the number of dealerships among some brands increased. First of all, it is Datsun (+35) that came to the Russian market only in the last year and it continues to expand its presence. In addition, dealers have added of such brands as UAZ (+27), Hyundai (+14), Dongfeng (+11), Jaguar (+10). The number of auto manufacturers increased the number of dealers less than by 10 centers. In their turn, Nissan, Volkswagen, Subaru and Geely remained their number at the last year's level.

The process of reducing of the number of car dealers in the country is likely to be continued the next year, as the current situation in the economy has had a very negative impact on the auto business, by reducing its profitability.
