Robert Hendricks Receives 2015 Healthcare IT Community Leader of the Year Award from Metro Atlanta Chamber
The Phoenix Awards were created by MAC to highlight the major role the health IT industry plays in Georgia’s economy. The awards are given annually in conjunction with the Health IT Leadership Summit to recognize excellence in individuals and companies.
The Health IT Leadership Summit was founded in 2010 by three organizations to support the growth of the health IT industry: the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Metro Atlanta Chamber and Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Health. It ranks as one of the nation’s premier health IT events with more than 500 business leaders, healthcare providers, and public and private organizations in attendance each year.
"Robert is a driving force throughout the health IT community," said David Hartnett, Vice President of Economic Development for the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "He is the chair of the Chamber's Bioscience/Health IT Leadership Council, a Chamber Board of Director and also leads the strategic committee of the Technology Association of Georgia. I am honored to work with such a distinguished technologist and leader in our community."
“Today, Georgia is home to the nation’s health IT capital and is a leader in technology in multiple business sectors,” said Hendricks. “As a native Georgian, I am proud of the successes we have made in driving innovation with a focus ahead for better health and helping to transform the healthcare industry as we move towards value-based care. It is a great honor to receive the Phonenix Award from the Metro Atlanta Chamber and I’m extremely grateful to be able to help contribute to making Georgia one of the top five cities in the U.S. for technology.”
