The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarsky, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the Acting Director General of Boryspil International Airport Yevhenii Dykhne were present at this event. During the ceremony the Head of the Government stated that now the cars became the vehicles of the Ukrainian police.

The Minister of the Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarsky: The cars which today have become the property of New Police were on the shelf at Boryspil. When the Sky Taxi project expired they were on the balance of the airport and the airport spent its expenses for their support and maintenance. Therefore, we are pleased that the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure to deliver the cars to the New Police was welcomed by the management of Boryspil Airport and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and from now on these cars will benefit to public. It is an example of effective use of resources and our contribution to the new legal order in the country.

Starting from today the representatives of New Police will be administrating the law at Boryspil Airport. This airport has become the first airport of the country where the new beat officers began to work. The total number of 80 patrol officers will be working under the 4-shift schedule, 20 officers in each shift. Their task will be public order maintenance in D Terminal, the terminal square and Kyiv-Boryspi highway.

Following the European airports the dispatcher point of the New Police has been opened in D Terminal. A separate room is equipped with the advanced information system. Boryspil Airport has also provided a special relaxation room for beat officers.

Acting Director General of Boryspil International Airport Yevhenii Dykhne: At each airport across the globe these are the law enforcement agency officers along with the airport officers who represent the state and provide the first impression of the country. We have no doubt that this impression will be pleasant. Thanks to joint efforts of the law enforcement agencies and the airport services the legal issue will further be administrated at the main airport of the country.
