In order to attract young talents to the electricity industry KEGOC showcased the company's work for Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools students
OREANDA-NEWS. On 4 November 2015, 10 grade students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools visited KEGOC's head office.
The purpose of this event was to attract young talents to the electricity industry as a part of vocational guidance activity.
Over 30 students have come to visit Kazakhstan's main network operating company.
The company told the students about its activity, progress of National Power Grid rehabilitation, future development of Kazakhstan's Unified Power System.
The students also visited the National Dispatch Centre of the System Operator, and were told about its history, operation and staff.
In addition, members of KEGOC's Youth Council prepared educational physics quiz and the most active and knowledgeable students won prizes.
To bring the holiday atmosphere and positive emotions to the young guests KEGOC arranged a sports competition for young employees and the students.
This was the follow up event of KEGOC's activity on vocational guidance. In April 2015, KEGOC met with the students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of Physics and Mathematics in Astana. For many youngsters it was the first encounter with KEGOC and the electricity industry.
Also in October 2015, Akmolinskiye MES branch of KEGOC held an Open Day for 9 grade students from capital's schools. This event brought together 47 students from schools No. 37 and No. 72 to visit 500 kV TsGPP SS and the dispatch control office of the Akmola regional dispatch centre.
