MarkWest, Newfield to develop crude system
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2015. MarkWest, a gatherer of gas and liquids volumes throughout the Marcellus and Utica shales, said it will develop a crude gathering system in the Cana-Woodford shale in western Oklahoma as part of a fee-based agreement with Newfield Exploration.
The crude system will complement MarkWest's existing gas gathering infrastructure in the area.
"They started out very strong with their drilling program," MarkWest chief executive Frank Semple said on a call with analysts today. "We've connected 50 wells and we're moving a lot of gas to the Arapahoe plant and we're getting close to oil transportation to Cushing."
