OREANDA-NEWS. At the Annual General Meeting of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on 29 October 2015 to the State Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency received the major IADI award as Deposit Insurance Organization of the Year.

The award recognizes the achievements of the Agency in improving the national deposit insurance system, executing effective payouts to depositors, conducting resolution and liquidation of credit institutions and active involvement in international cooperation.

At the ceremony of receiving the award Deputy General Director of the Agency Andrey Melnikov emphasized that the Agency considers this award as a high recognition of its efforts and achievements by the international community of deposit insurers. He also noted that efficiency of the Agency's operation in a significant part is the result of implementation of best practices and international standards developed and promoted by IADI.
