Fitch Ratings Appoints Clemens Frech as Head of Germany
In this role, Mr. Frech will be responsible for the management of Fitch Ratings' franchise in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including governance oversight and developing relationships with market participants in the region. Mr. Frech joins on November 2nd, based in Frankfurt.
Mr. Frech joins from Standard Chartered Bank where he spent nine years, most recently as CEO and Country Manager Germany. Prior to this, he spent close to three years as the Regional Head for corporate clients in South East Asia, based in Singapore.
Mr. Frech joined Standard Chartered Bank from KPMG where he was Head of Debt Advisory Services in Germany. Mr. Frech has a long track record in international banking and capital markets, having held senior positions with JP Morgan, Bank One and Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt, London and Tokyo. Mr. Frech began his career at Dresdner Bank in 1987.
