OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2015. An operative meeting held at the government, with the participation of the acting ministers, started with a minute of standing silent in the memory of the Bucharest tragedy victims, as well as of the Egypt air crash casualties.

The acting cabinet considered possibilities to provide the needed assistance on behalf of the Moldovan government to Romanian authorities. At the meeting, competent institutions reported on the fulfillment of a government instruction, signed by acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega on 31 October 2015, in order to provide blood transfusion assistance to persons seriously hit by the fire that occurred in the "Colectiv" club, Romania. 

Under the instruction, the Health Ministry identified, through the National Blood Transfusion Centre, the quantity of blood and blood components needed to be donated to the Romanian Health Ministry and ensured the proper conditions for their packing and record, as well as the collection of blood to supply blood preparations reserves. At the same time, the Interior Ministry ensured the transportation of the blood preparations according to the requirements for preservation and transportation, and the Foreign and European Integration Ministry coordinated the procedure of taking over the concerned donation with the Romanian side.  

Also today, the acting prime minister instructed the carrying out of  controls at all the entertainment places from Moldova and check whether they had anti-fire plans and whether they were observed. 

For its part, acting Interior Minister Oleg Balan gave assurances that these checkings started today and would continue in the next two weeks.

The Moldovan government also began an action of solidarity, thereby urging people to donate blood to victims of the disaster from the Bucharest-based "Colectiv" club.  Persons willing to donate blood may daily do this at blood collection points of the National Blood Transfusion Centre from Chisinau, Balti and Cahul.
