OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia continue to fall. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for the last nine months the number of cars imported into the country was kept in the range of 20-25 thousand units. The exception was only March of 2015, when the number of imported cars increased to 38.8 thousand units. For comparison: in 2012 the number of imported cars each month was ranged from 53.4 to 121.3 thousand units, in 2013 - from 44.9 to 85 thousand units, in 2014 - from 39.2 to 69.4 thousand units.

On the whole, for 9 months of 2015 Russia imported 222.8 thousand units (-53.1% compared with the APPG). In September – it was 25.4 thousand units (-42.4%).

Three leaders among brands at the end of September and for the first nine months of the year are as follows: Toyota, Mercedes, and Hyundai.

As for the models, then for the first nine months Toyota RAV4, Hyundai IX35, Lexus NX are leaders.
