OREANDA-NEWS. Izhevsk plant will increase the production of cars 1.9 times by 2018. This is stated in the forecast of socio-economic development of the Udmurt Republic for 2016 and for the planning period of 2017 and 2018, approved by the Government of the Republic. In this case, the forecast does not announce absolute figures. "In general, the volume of production of cars will be determined by the size of consumer demand", - stated in the document, the text of which has the agency "Interfax". 

As it was reported previously, the production plan of the Izhevsk car plant for 2015 is 106 thousand cars. This figure includes Nissan models - Sentra sedan and hatchback Tiida, as well as Lada Granta sedan and the new Lada Vesta, the production of which started on September 25th of this year. At the same time the annual production of the new model in the long term can be up to 100 thousand cars per a year.

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for the first eight months of 2015 (January-August) the conveyor of Izhevsk enterprise produced 54.5 thousand cars. Among them: Lada Granta 2190 - 1.2 thousand units, Lada Granta 2191 - 44.9 thousand units, Nissan Sentra - 4,8 thousand units, Nissan Tiida - 3,4 thousand units, Lada Vesta - 0,2 thousand units.
