OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ has recently started the assembly of the second series "Pilot 2", which includes 40 copies of Lada Xray.

According to the portal "Kolesa.ru", the first pilot lot of 68 vehicles was assembled at the main conveyor line B0 of AVTOVAZ then specialists worked out all the comments that have been identified in the process.

"Cars Lada Vesta and Lada Xray – are completely new products, and the approach to them is completely different. The company changed radically the attitude to the product, its style, the opinion of the consumer, the so-called perceived quality”, - said the director of the project, Oleg Grunenkov. – “Our goal – is to create one of the best cars in its class, which is able to compete with foreign cars, not only in Russia but also in the near and far abroad. We are focused on the European market, so Lada Xray must comply with European standards".

According to Oleg Grunenkov, about 60% of all tests have been completed, now AvtoVAZ is preparing a new car for certification in the state bodies. Serial production of the model will begin on December 15, 2015, and two months later - in February of 2016 – it will be the start of sales of high-hatchback.

Oleg Grunenkov also reported that AvtoVAZ in 2016 will concentrate on the production of the car Lada Xray Cross in two versions - 4x2 and 4x4, as well as the estate car Lada Vesta Cross 4x2.
