OREANDA-NEWS. According to the agency “Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", for the first nine months of 2015 in Yekaterinburg, it was sold 32,268 new cars and light commercial vehicles, which is less by 43% than in the same period of last year. The dynamics of the fall of the car market continues to decline, it was 49% for the I quarter. In September, dealers sold 3712 cars - it is less by 41% than a year ago.

If at the end of August in Yekaterinburg for the first time this year, it was sold more than 4,000 vehicles, then in September, the volume of sales of cars returned to the level of June-July that against the background of the whole year is the third result.

Just two brands in the top-10 by the end of September showed a positive trend in sales. It is KIA and UAZ. Korean brand became the leader in sales of the last month.

Totally, for 9 months the first place by sales volume is still occupied by Lada. The only brand in the top- 10, which shows the growth in car sales in this period, is UAZ.

"Despite the significant decline in sales, the leader of the car market in Yekaterinburg for the year is likely to remain Lada; the start of sales of Vesta at the end of November will help in it domestic brand”, - said the director of “Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", Michail Chaplygin. - And it will be a fight for the leadership among foreign cars - Hyundai and KIA that are supported by government programs to stimulate demand will get a serious competitor in the face of Toyota, which usually increases the pace of car sales”.

The share of Yekaterinburg in total car sales in Russia for the first 9 months was 2.7%.
