Today Vilnius Airport Welcomes a New SAS Route to Oslo
“Last few years have demonstrated significant increase in Norwegian investment in Lithuania, e.g. during the first quarter of this year Norwegian direct invests in our country reached almost 840 mln. Euros1. Due to economic slowdown in Norway, its businesses have been looking for new investment opportunities in Lithuania which is being viewed as a very attractive market. As business passengers have always been a priority for SAS, growing economic partnerships between the two countries became major encouragement to SAS for opening a new route between Vilnius and Oslo”, said R?ta Jucien?, SAS General Manager Baltic States and Russia.
“It is of utmost important for Vilnius Airport to ensure convenient connections for our passengers with the major European capital cities, as this provides for additional economic and tourism development opportunities for Lithuania. I’m happy to note that our cooperation with the long-term partner SAS, providing uninterrupted services in Lithuania for already 23 years, contributes towards reaching this objective. We hope the number of SAS routes from Vilnius will keep expanding and the number of flights will keep growing”, - noted Art?ras Stankevi?ius, Director of Vilnius airport.
SAS passengers from Vilnius will have convenient connections via Oslo to other Norwegian cities such as Bergen, Bodo, Evenes, Haugesund, Molde, Stavanger, Trondheim, Tromso, and others.
