OREANDA-NEWS. At its modernized plant in Yelabuga (Tatarstan), the company Ford Sollers launched the production of the new Ford Explorer by full-cycle technology. The new version of the Ford Explorer, which celebrates this year its 25th anniversary, has become a premium and it is a leader by technological equipment in its segment.

New Explorer is available to Russian customers at a price of 2.599 million rubles, including all existing marketing programs, informed the press service of the company. The model is offered in four trim levels - XLT, Limited, Limited Plus and Sport - and the engine is equipped with Cyclone 3.5-V6 power of 249 hp and 345-hp engine 3.5 EcoBoost, mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are certified to operate on 92 octane.

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for 9 months of 2015 the market volume of new Ford cars in Russia was 22.5 thousand units, including 1.2 thousand units of Explorer.
