OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2015. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in January-September of 2015 it was imported 1.354 million car batteries to Russia, which is less by almost 50% than for the same period of 2014.

However, according to experts, their number has already closed almost 13% of the total needs of the secondary market in Russia in batteries (10.7 million units) for the whole 2015.

Approximately one-fifth of the total amount of imported into the country batteries (20.6%) was the production of Johnson Controls (brands Varta, Afa, Bosch, Tenax, Berga, TRP, Energizer, and others.). About 9% of the share of imports and the second in the top-10 of importers of starter batteries were occupied for the first 9 months of 2015 Atlas BX (brand Atlas, Alaska, E-NEX).

Hyundai Sungwoo Automotive with brands Solite, Indigo, Hyundai, Kia (the share in imports is 8.8%) turned out in the three leading importers in January-September. Then the lines of the rating table are occupied by TAB (7,3%) and "Steko" Ltd. (6.9%).

The TOP-10 of the largest by terms of imports in Russia included also Mutlu (5,8%), Sebang Global Battery Co. (5,6%), The Furukawa Battery (4,4%), Ppuh Autopart Jasek Bak (3,5%) and "Megatex" Ltd. (3.1%).
